Univapo Miso C Pod Kit
Univapo are all new to me but I have heard good things about them, so I thought I would see how their MISO C pod kit held up against the vast pod competition. It turned out to be a superb little device, read on to find out why.

The Miso C appears to tick all the boxes of what you need in a pod kit, and the 2amp charging very welcome. The size is pretty compact and 31g weight is ideal for your pocket. I couldn’t see any innovation or standout features, but I kept an open mind and the all-important vape would be the decider.
Unboxing
The Miso C comes in a nice compact open box with an outer sleeve, the artwork is bright and quite snazzy. Everything is in one layer and there’s a box containing the USB cable and a lanyard.
The kit includes:
- 1 x Pod
- 1 x Battery
- 1 x User Manual
- 1 x Lanyard
I really appreciate a lanyard as I find them very handy when driving or out and about. The USB-C cable is quite short but adequate. The instructions were clear and easy to follow but you shouldn’t need them as everything makes sense and is intuitive. But there’s one thing missing; no spare or alternate pod! I would have preferred that Univapo had included an extra pod over the lanyard.
First Impressions
The size and weight impressed me straight away and the oval shape felt comfortable. The pod is a press fit and very secure with absolutely no play or rattle, it is also easy to grip to remove.
The fire button is well positioned and tactile to find without looking. The resistance of the fire button is firm enough to avoid accidental firing. The USB-C port is positioned at the side and there’s a single airflow hole on the opposite side.
The pod is well designed and the press fit is less wasteful than magnetic ones. You can see the wicking ports are nice and large for the resistance which means it should keep up with chain vaping and a longer coil lifespan generally.
One of the best features is the side filling, it has just been done so well that I found it one of the easiest pods to refill that I have tried, the silicone bung is easy to pop open and there is plenty of room for your bottle tip. The visibility is clear enough to see your juice level as you fill it up, and I found it mess free. During use I just found it ever so easy to refill.
The included optional lanyard is ideal for a pod of this size, it’s a little tricky to fit as the silicone ring is very tight but it means it will stay in place securely.
The best position is as shown below, above the fire button but make sure that you don’t block off the airflow hole or the sides of the pod. Once fitted, I found the length about right that it clears my moobs but not too long that it sways like a horses knob.
Controls
Though there is a fire button, it is also draw activated (auto-draw). You can choose to turn the fire button off which is perfect to avoid pocket firing, and the auto-draw still works. To do this is a simple 3 x FIRE and the button and the LED will flash to confirm. To turn the device On/Off is 5 x FIRE.
The ‘adjustable airflow’ is simply down to which way you insert the pod, there’s a hole offset on the base of the pod and a hole in one side of the battery. The tightest airflow option is with the pod hole further away from the battery hole and closer for a looser draw.
That’s all there is to it. The power setting is automatic for the chosen pod resistance, and there’s no adjustable wattage which makes it simple for new vapers. Generally I prefer adjustable power, but the pre-set power is spot on for each pod I tested.
Performance
Immediately I was very impressed with the vape quality! The flavour was faultless and the draw was smooth. The warmth was just right, and the airflow was just perfect for a ciggie like draw. If you prefer it to be looser then you simply pull the pod out, rotate it 180 degrees and replace.
The auto-draw performed faultlessly and I found no need for the fire button so I turned that off. Each draw was consistent and I had no spitback or juice working its way into my mouth.
The battery life was decent and I didn’t notice any power drop off as it drained, it lasted me most of a working day even though I hammered it more than usual, but it was the 2amp fast charging that impressed me. On average it took just twenty minutes from low, but since it was fast charging, I found myself top up charging when the opportunity arose as you were never without it for long.
But going back to the vape quality, this factor turned this average design pod kit into a great one. The flavour is equal to mesh. I’ve tried the 0.8ohm and the 1.0ohm and both give equally great flavour, the 0.8ohm gives a slightly looser draw and you can get a RDL draw from it, just about though. For me, this pod kit is better for MTL.
Now there’s one thing that Univapo don’t mention but I find important, the pods remain dry (as in they don’t leak) throughout the coils lifespan. I’ve lost track of how many other pods suffer from leaking which can ruin the battery, but the Miso C remained dry. I’m not finding any condensation which is impressive.
Miso C or Miso Pro?
I was sent both of these to review. The Pro offers replaceable coils which is better for the environment and less wasteful, however the Miso C performed much better for MTL as the draw is tighter and the Pro only has fixed airflow which is a bit too loose in my opinion.
The Miso C impressed me more overall as I felt it punched above its weight, but if you prefer a looser MTL draw or a RDL, then the Pro will suit you better. I wanted to prefer the Pro due to replaceable coils, but the vape quality of the C is just so good.
There are seven colours available, I’m not a fan of this ‘Red/Green’ as it looks a bit pink for my tastes, but the range is good and you should find a colour to match your style.
Conclusion
The average looking and basic design is deceptive as the vape quality brings the Miso C to life, and I came to appreciate its simplicity. The flavour is superb, and the coil lifespan is very good, they have nailed the MTL airflow and the auto-draw performs well. Along with the fast charging, I’m not left wanting for anything more.
Pros
- Compact and light weight
- Proper 2 Amp fast charge
- Easy side filling
- Superb flavour
- Leakproof
- Simplicity
- Value for money
Cons
- Only 1 pod included
It’s a shame it only has one pod included as the Miso C would have been another pod kit with a con-less rating from me.
Final Thoughts
The MISO C is more than a safe bet due to its outstanding vape quality so I would recommend getting a pack of pods when you order one. The downside of only having one pod included is that you don’t get to try the others to know which one is better for you, but the 1.0ohm is a perfect middle ground for MTL.
My introduction to Univapo has left me really impressed, and the Miso C easily stands out in the crowded pod market.
Score: 8.5/10 – A quality MTL vape.
